Hey, Hi

Hello

I’m Shannon

I’m an Arizona transplant but a Vermont native.

I grew up in the northwest corner of Vermont in a very tiny town on the Canadian border. I left the country life for college in RI to pursue a degree in Dance/Performance. After college I moved west to Seattle to pursue a dance career, then on to AZ where I met my husband. Over the next 15 years the two of us bounced from coast to coast, finally finding ourselves back where we started together in Arizona. Along the way we’ve had 3 kiddos and our first dog.

My babies were my first foray into the world of photography. They were willing, albeit captive, models for me to practice on. I loved snapping pics of everything from the details of their tiny toes, to landscapes of baking in the kitchen, to creative yearly growth portraits.

In early 2020, a friend of mine, and fellow photographer, encouraged me to turn my passion into a business. And then she was my first client for her engagement pictures. After that I was hooked!

So that’s it…my origin story in a nutshell!

In all seriousness though, your experience with me is important. But what’s more important is that you have FUN, feel comfortable, and just be YOU…no holding back. Because that’s what you want to remember right? Not stale look at the camera and pose kind of moments. No, you want to remember the laughing, cuddling, succeeding, in-between moments that define this moment in time for you.

So I say give me your photo wardrobe woes, your grumpy dads, and your camera insecurities… I GOT YOU!! And I will give you all of me in return.

Why Work With Me

  1. My enthusiasm: I am a master at taking all of my awkward, nervous energy and channeling it to break the tension most clients feel about being in front of the camera.

  2. My ability to cue you through the session: I have a background in dance, Pilates and massage which means I have practiced for years upon years at taking cues from others and giving others cues.  I use all of that history to help you move naturally through a session.

  3. My “up for anything” attitude: I LOVE trying new things, new angles or new scenery, new concepts or new outfits. So bring me an idea and let’s see what we can create together.
